Activated on April 8, 2026 at 06:00 UTC, the Jade fork brings two significant changes to the network:

What's Live

MorphTx Transaction Type: The MorphTx transaction type is now active on Morph Mainnet. MorphTx replaces the previous AltFeeTx (type 0x7F) and introduces the Reference Key feature, enabling transaction tracking and indexing via a 32-byte reference identifier. This lays the foundation for more structured, traceable payment settlement on Morph.
MPT State Trie Migration: Morph Mainnet nodes have completed the migration from zkTrie to Merkle Patricia Trie (MPT). This brings Morph closer to full Ethereum equivalence, improving tooling compatibility and the long-term reliability of the network.
General performance optimizations and improvements.
